35 minutes delightful scenic drive through light rainforest inland from
Madang town.

bungalow with 3 rooms, each with woven mats on bamboo bed frames, bamboo
furniture, mosquito nets and kerosine lamps provided.
BATHROOMS:
you will
shower by standing under a small waterfall in the rainforest (something
to write home about!). There is a guest toilet near your bungalow

food cooked and served in the traditional way, boiled spring water or
coconut juice to drink

- 20 minute walk to beautiful Dumeh Falls (100m drop) situated in a
picture-perfect forested gully.
- wander freely through the delightful Ohu Butterfly Conservation Area
which has been systematically planted with hibiscus and other flowering
shrubs favoured by various indigenous butterfly species, to encourage
them to reproduce. Stretch out your arm and stand still, and magnificently
coloured butterflies including the Queen Alexandra Birdwing will alight
on your hand.

- early morning and late afternoon bird watching excursions: you are
likely to see the Bird of Paradise
- visit nearby villages and met the locals
- see how yams and other local vegetables are cultivated in the gardens
